JBR Lures
JBR Lures officially started in the Fall of 2017.The summer before was full of building, testing, more building, and more testing, until I eventually got to the plugs I make today. I had no intentions of one day building plugs for other fishermen, as it was just a hobby of two of my passions; woodworking and fishing. The little puzzles within each step of the building process was exhilarating for me, figuring out what shape worked best, what size holes to drill, etc. And why just pencil poppers you may ask? Well, for some reason I've always had a fascination with them more so than any other plug. The top water excitement, the simplicity, and casting distance all sounded so good! I wanted to only make pencils, and make them to the best of my ability.

My dream is to one day walk by a fisherman whom I've never met before and see that they are using one of my plugs. There is just something about knowing someone else has confidence in my work that gives me a great sense of satisfaction; catching the fish is just a bonus.
